More than forty keen saxophonists gathered on Saturday 26th June for an action packed SaxDay. Throughout the day, the musicians experienced the thrill of playing in groups, playing music in a range of styles from classical to rock. For many it was the first experience of playing in groups, and the concert at the end of the day was a chance to show just how much everyone had put into practice during the day.
Some comments from participants
"...it was a great day and I look forward to the next one! I don't have any ideas for future days as it was pretty much perfect as far as I was concerned :)" JC
"Thanks - it was a great day/really loved it. It was great to hear the 9 piece group too- they were amazing! Look forward to another day soon!" HB
"Thanks for putting on such a good event. I really enjoyed it. What I liked about it was how inclusive it was for people of all abilities. It was great having the children along and seeing how they managed with everyone. I thought you had spaced things out right with the breaks and also what you covered." JG
"Just a note to say a big thank you for a really enjoyable day." PW
